Ms. Pickens has been teaching for 11 years, the last three of which have been at John Adams. She earned her BA in English from WVU, MA in Professional Writing and Editing, also from WVU, and her MA in Teaching from Marshall University.
Her motto is, "Don't stop until you're proud of it!"
She enjoys crafts, traveling, reading, and writing.
Ms. Pickens has two children, Lucas and Natalie.
