REMINDER FOR STUDENTS: When accessing Schoology, you must use the website kanawha.schoology.com.


Parents, please go to the Parent Schoology Guide link to learn more about special features in Schoology. With this guide, you can add multiple children to your parent account, learn how to navigate the platform, & even set up email notifications for missing work.

       Optional Damage Waiver

Optional Damage Waiver Program for the KCS iPads is available. The annual (must be renewed each school year) $40* fee is completely optional for those that want protection from expenses due to loss/damage of the student issued iPad. There will be a $49 incident fee for each incident of damage/loss (loss limited to one instance per school year). Waivers must be submitted within 14 days from the first day of school or receipt of device. Go to the following link to find form and fee information.

       Tech Tips

Whenever you are having problems with your Kanawha County Schools iPad, you can submit a work order by scanning the QR code or going to the website listed below. 


Common iPad Fixes Include:

  • Update iPad
  •  Problem with an app? Close app & reopen OR reinstall from Manager.
  • Issues with the internet? Swipe Wi-Fi OFF & ON to reconnect to the network. -Go to Settings & make sure Limit IP Address Tracking is OFF (2020Portal)
    -Block Pop Ups & Prevent Cross Site Tracking is OFF (Safari)

  • HARD RESET (hold down home button & power button - power up & give it time)

*Always keep your iPad updated & connected to the cloud with your KCS Apple ID account. This will help avoid losing important items if you must be issued a new device.
